Wow, this is digital? For a moment I thought this was done using colored markers. The textures kind of feel that way, anyways. Superb job.
Anyways, I love this. The composition, the use of colors, and the way you drew the sheep makes me think of a storybook, which is really fitting given the nature of the videogame. I love that the characters also look like their in-game models (who could forget the sheep's stick legs?) but interpreted so it makes sense in the drawing as opposed to a PS1 game model. So awesome.
thanks so much! yeah I slap a overlay'd texture on when I finish. Yeah one thing I adore about the spyro games is the simplicity in their characters. Maybe it's just easier to animate and work with, but hey it still fits and looks great with it's own charm.
Spyro 2's overworlds are definitely the most.. peaceful, I think. They're fun to explore. <3 I haven't played it in awhile... I feel like I should, though.
Just before I moved out of my mom's house I went on a gaming spree for the Spyro games. I beat the first one 100%, then skipped the second for whatever reason, got to about 99% completion for the third (got into the bonus world and did some of those), but moved on and did.. I dunno, half of the second. I miss Metropolis though, so I think I'mma go back and try to get up to that.
Such pretty colors, those clouds are like a rainbow that has been spread all over the sky <3 And I love the way you drew Spyro, especially his frikkin' feet are so adorable! Loving your style here.
Chasing those sheep is still lots of fun. May they all buuuuuuuurn! (But srsly though, they must breed like rabbits since they never go extinct even with all the dragons slaughtering them just for lulz. )
